End User License Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you and Scam Snap regarding your use of the Scam Snap application and associated services (the "App"), available as a web app and installable Progressive Web App (PWA) at scam-snap.com (and on app stores if released there in the future). By downloading, installing, or using Scam Snap, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this EULA. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the App.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing, downloading, or using Scam Snap in any form (mobile app, web version, PWA), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by all terms, conditions, and disclaimers contained in this EULA. Your use of the App constitutes your acceptance of this agreement. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with this EULA, Scam Snap grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to:

  • •Download and install the App on your personal devices
  • •Use the App for personal, non-commercial scam detection training
  • •Use the App for corporate training if you hold an active enterprise plan

You may not: reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, translate, or create derivative works based on the App or its source code. You may not rent, lease, sublicense, sell, assign, or transfer your rights to use the App. You may not use automated tools, bots, scripts, or any other mechanism to access or interact with the App except as explicitly authorized by Scam Snap.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

Scam Snap IP

All content, scenarios, game mechanics, branding, logos, design, code, and materials within Scam Snap are the exclusive intellectual property of Scam Snap and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain no ownership interest in any of these materials.

Your Data

You retain ownership of your gameplay data, including scores, progress records, and any custom user profiles you create. However, you grant Scam Snap a worldwide, royalty-free license to use this data to improve the App, generate leaderboards, and enhance training effectiveness.

AI-Generated Content

All scam scenarios, narrative elements, and gameplay content generated by AI (including Claude) are owned by Scam Snap. You may not extract, reproduce, or repurpose these scenarios outside the App without permission.

4. In-App Purchases & Virtual Items

Purchase Management

Scam Snap is currently free, with no real-money purchases of any kind. If paid features launch in the future, purchases will be managed by the relevant platform (e.g. an app store for mobile builds, or a secure payment provider for web) and will be subject to that platform's payment terms, disclosed before any charge is possible.

Virtual Items & Credits

Virtual items, cosmetics, and in-game credits purchased or earned have no real-world cash value and cannot be exchanged for money or refunded except as required by law or Apple's policies. You may not buy, sell, trade, or transfer virtual items between accounts or to other players.

Non-Refundable

All in-app purchases are non-refundable except as mandated by applicable law (e.g., Apple's App Store refund policies). Refund requests must be submitted through the respective app store, not directly to Scam Snap.

5. Service Availability & Modifications

Scam Snap operates on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or unrestricted access to the App. We may:

  • •Perform maintenance, updates, or patches without advance notice
  • •Modify or discontinue features, worlds, or functionality at any time
  • •Suspend or discontinue the entire App with 30 days written notice
  • •Experience downtime for scheduled or emergency maintenance

6. User Conduct

You agree not to use Scam Snap in any way that:

  • •Exploits, hacks, or manipulates the App's mechanics or data
  • •Uses bots, automated scripts, or tools to gain unfair gameplay advantages
  • •Attempts to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract App code or content
  • •Shares account credentials or allows others to use your account
  • •Distributes paid or premium content without authorization
  • •Creates or uses the App to develop real scams, phishing, or fraud materials
  • •Violates any applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction

7. Educational Disclaimer

Scam Snap is designed for educational and entertainment purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional security consulting or government fraud prevention tools.

  • •Completing training scenarios does NOT guarantee protection from real-world scams or fraud
  • •Scam techniques evolve constantly. Always remain vigilant and skeptical of unsolicited communications
  • •For official scam prevention, use Singapore's ScamShield app or contact Anti-Scam Centre
  • •If you suspect you are being scammed, report it to local law enforcement immediately

8. Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SCAM SNAP MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE APP WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS OR BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

Scam Snap shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or harm resulting from:

  • •Your exposure to or loss from real scams or fraud, regardless of your use of Scam Snap
  • •App bugs, errors, interruptions, or outages
  • •Unauthorized access to your account or data
  • •Loss of gameplay progress or virtual items

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scam Snap's total liability to you shall not exceed the lesser of: (a) SGD 50, or (b) the total amount you paid to Scam Snap in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination of License

Termination by Scam Snap

Scam Snap may terminate or suspend your license immediately if you violate this EULA, attempt fraud, engage in cheating, or use the App for illegal purposes. Scam Snap may also discontinue the App entirely with 30 days written notice.

Termination by You

You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately. Your gameplay data may be deleted after 90 days of account inactivity, unless you have an active subscription.

10. Apple App Store Specific Terms

If you downloaded Scam Snap from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

  • •Apple is not a party to this EULA and has no responsibility for the App, including any support or maintenance obligations
  • •Apple is not responsible for any product warranties or guarantees related to Scam Snap
  • •Apple is not liable for any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the App
  • •Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this EULA and may enforce these terms against you
  • •If the App does not conform to the representations made in its App Store listing, you may request a refund directly from Apple under their App Store refund policy

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This EULA is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore for any disputes arising from this EULA or your use of the App.
